OVERVIEW OF BONKERS

Bonkers is a game that is absolutely bonkers! Players answer cards on the game cards correctly and move along on the game board. They may play in teams or individually! Are you able to answer random questions? Are you known for your wealth of random knowledge? Now, it is time to finally put it to use!

SETUP

Setup is quick and simple for this game. Normally the game is played in individual play, but if there are more than four players, then the players are split into teams. Once that is determined, each player, or team, will choose a game piece and put in on the Start place on the board. The game is then ready to begin.

GAMEPLAY

The game begins with choosing a card reader. This player will read the questions to the other players, set the score, and monitor answers. This role is passed around the group as the game continues. The player to the left of them is placed in the Hot Seat. They will have 30 seconds to answer the question.

The player in the Hot Seat will spin the spinner to determine which category their question will come from. The reader will then choose a card from the box that falls within that category. At this point, the reader will choose which answers are more difficult than others. They will assign a certain number of scoring chips to each answer. These chips are placed on the bullseye circles for the answers.

The reader will then read the question to the group. They will flip the timer as soon as they are finished reading and listen for the correct answers. The player in the hot seat will then say as many answers as they can think of. If they say a correct answer, the reader will announce “bullseye” and which answer is matched. The time does not stop while the player Is collecting their chips.

After the time is up, the rest of the players will get one answer. The players who give bullseye answers get to collect those chips, but if they were not guessed, the reader collects half of the chips that are remaining. Players will tally their points and move their game pieces forward on the board, with spaces equaling the points that they won.

The card reader role will move to the left. The game continues in this manner until a player reaches the finish space.

END OF GAME

The game immediately comes to an end when someone reaches the Finish space. This player becomes the winner.
