OVERVIEW OF NEOSHO RAPIDS
Neosho Roads is a simple game, allowing for up to four people to play very quickly. It was named after a river in Kansas.
SETUP
To begin setup, the dealer will shuffle a deck of cards and deal seven cards to each player. The rest of the deck is placed in the middle of the playing area, creating the Stock Pile. The first card of the deck is revealed and placed beside the Stock Pile, creating the Discard Pile.
The game is ready to begin!
GAMEPLAY
The player on the dealer’s left is the player to make the first move. During their turn, players must try to discard cards that are one rank above or below the card revealed. Players must discard all cards they are able to during their turn.
Once the player no longer has any cards remaining that can be played, they will draw one card from the Stock Pile and end their turn. Gameplay continues in this manner until one player runs out of cards to play.
If the Stock Pile is ever empty, the discard pile may be flipped, shuffled, and placed as the new Stock Pile.
END OF GAME
The game comes to an end when a player rids their hand of all of their cards. This player is declared the winner of the game!
