To begin setup, players should ensure that the number of role cards is three more than players. Each player will be dealt one card, and they should ensure that they keep their role secret. The additional cards are placed in the middle of the playing area, face down. Players are then given a Player Number token.
The phone with the app should be placed in the middle of the playing area, ensuring that all players can see it and reach it. The game is then ready to begin.
Each player is given a random role card. At this point, the players should keep their roles secretive. The app will prompt the players when nightfall occurs, and then it will prompt the players on what actions they should take and when.
When nighttime has come and gone, the daytime phase of the game will begin. The app will again prompt the players on what actions they should take. This is when discussion can be had, and players will attempt to determine who is the Aliens and who is the Villagers! If an alien is killed, then the villagers win! If all aliens survive, then the villagers lose!
END OF GAME
The game comes to an end when one night and one day of gameplay have been completed. The village will win if at least one alien has been killed or if nobody is an alien. The Alien team wins if no Aliens are destroyed.
