INTRODUCTION OF FOOSKETBALL

Foosketball is a dexterity tabletop game published by Hasbro Gaming.  A mashup of foosball and basketball, Foosketball puts two players head to head with the goal of being the first to score 5 points.  Players can block each other’s shots, steal balls, and knock balls out of their opponent’s hands.  This is a fast paced game that both children and adults can enjoy.

CONTENTS

Out of the box, players get one Foosketball court that must be assembled as well as ten Foosketballs.  Nine of the balls are orange, and one of them is gold.

SETUP

To set up the game, place five balls behind each gate on the court.  The starting position of the golden ball does not matter.  Each player sits behind one of the hoops.  They will control the Foosketball player using the knobs.  Each knob controls one arm, and the player can be moved side to side.

THE PLAY

To begin the game, each player lifts their gate and releases the balls onto the court.  Immediately lower both gates to their starting positions.  Using the handles, each player controls their player to pick up the foosketballs and throw them into their opponent’s basket.  Players can block their opponent’s shot.

SHOOTING THE BALL

To shoot the ball, use the handles to grab the ball with both hands.  Lift the ball into shooting position being careful not to let it drop.  Both hands will be needed to keep the ball secure.  Using only one hand, fling the ball forward toward the hoop.  When a ball goes through the hoop, it remains behind that player’s gate until the end of the game.

Play continues until one player has earned 5 points.

SCORING

The orange balls are worth 1 point each.  The golden ball is worth 2 points.

WINNING

The first player to earn 5 points wins the game.
