SETUP FOR GUESS THE GIBBERISH
Before you begin, shuffle the 400 Guess the Gibberish cards. You can either place them face down (gibberish side up) on the table or leave them in the pack.
Pick a player to go first. This player, also called the reader, will pick a Guess the Gibberish guide, facing the gibberish side to the rest of the players. Flip the timer to start.
HOW TO PLAY GUESS THE GIBBERISH
Now that all the other players are facing the gibberish side of the card, they must sound out the gibberish to figure out what it actually says. Expect hilarity to ensue, as players adjust their pronunciation again and again in order to decode what the card says.
The first player to guess the gibberish before the 1-minute timer is complete wins the round. The winner of the round takes the Guess the Gibberish card, which represents 1 point.
However, if no one guesses the phrase before the minute is up, the reader reveals the word or phrase on the other side of the card. No points are awarded for this round.
Continue the game, with the player to the left of the reader now picking a new Guess the Gibberish card to get everyone else to guess the new gibberish phrase.
END OF GAME
Keep playing in this manner, taking turns picking up a Guess the Gibberish card and having all the other players guess the phrase until one player wins 10 points. This player wins the game!
