ROAD TRIP LICENSE PLATE GAME

OBJECTIVE OF THE LICENSE PLATE GAME: The objective of the License Plate Game is to have more states filled in on your map than any other player. 

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 2 or More Players 

MATERIALS: A Map of the United States and Crayons 

TYPE OF GAME: Road Trip Collection Game 

AUDIENCE: Ages 8 and Up 

OVERVIEW OF THE LICENSE PLATE GAME 

The License Plate game is a perfect game for those who love to see the details in the things around them. Here, the players will watch the license plates of the other cars, keeping everyone occupied at the same time. The first person to call a license plate, will mark that state off of their map. It is first come, first serve, so if you miss it, you missed out! 

SETUP 

To setup the game, simply give every player a map and some crayons that they can use for coloring. Explain the rules of the game, and then it is ready to begin. 

GAMEPLAY 

The players will read the license plates of the cars around them. The goal for the players is to spot as many license plates from other states as possible. If a player sees a plate from a state that they do not have colored in, they must call it before any other player in order to receive credit.  

When a player calls it, and the other players check it, the player is allowed to color in that state. There are some plates that players will only have few opportunities to call, whereas others will be seen constantly.  

END OF GAME 

The game may come to an end in two different ways. The game can end when a player has filled in all states of their map. This player is immediately the winner! It can also end when the road trip ends. In this case, the player with the most states, wins the game.
