OBJECTIVE OF NAME THAT BEER OR WINE: Correctly identify the beers/wines while blindfolded.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 2+ players

MATERIALS:  5 types of beer or wine, blindfolds, cups

TYPE OF GAME: Retirement party game

AUDIENCE: 21+

Test your alcohol knowledge with a fun game of Name That Beer Or Wine. Depending on whether the guests or namely beer drinkers or wine drinkers, set up the game accordingly and get to know who are the alcohol snobs in your party!

GAMEPLAY

NAME THAT BEER OR WINE GAME PLAY

Decide whether you want to organize a beer tasting or a wine tasting. Once chosen, pick out 5 different types of beers/wines.

For beer, you can get some: IPA, lager, stout, sour, pilsner, and/or cider.

If you are doing a wine tasting, get 5 of the following: Pinot gris, Sauvignon blanc, riesling, pinot noir, syrah, and merlot.

If the retiree is not a big alcohol drinker, you can still play Name that Beer or Wine with sodas. For example, get players to distinguish: Mountain Dew, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Sprite, Fanta, Root Beer, and/or Dr. Pepper.

Blindfold each of the participating players and pour 3-ounce servings of the 5 types of beer/wine. The blindfolded players then drink the 5 types of beer/wine and attempt to guess what they are.

END OF GAME

The player that correctly guesses the most beers/wines wins.
