OVERVIEW OF BLIND MAN’S BLUFF

Blind Man’s Bluff is a fun party game that can accommodate a large number of players and will be super popular. Rules are very simple, but it is played by adults more commonly than children. It is often known as Indian or Indian Head.

SETUP

Determine the dealer and the seating order firstly. Drawing for the high card is the quickest way to determine both. The player who draws the highest card becomes the dealer and is the first player to choose their seat. The player with the lowest card is the last player to choose their seat.

The dealer will then shuffle the cards and deal one card to each player. The game is ready to begin!

GAMEPLAY

After all players have their card, the dealer will signal. All players will then reveal their cards to all of their opponents by holding it up to their forehead, with the face facing the group. No player should see their own card.

The bidding begins with the player on the dealer’s left. Each player may make an In Bid or an Out Bid. In Bids mean the player wants to stay in the hand, and the Out Bid means the player wants out of the hand. Bidding continues in a clockwise manner until no player makes a bid for a full round.

When a player makes an Out Bid, they are out for the remainder of the hand. After the bidding ends, all of the players toss their cards onto the table. The cards of the players remaining in the hand are compared. The player who had the highest card wins! Scores are then taken.

Players who made an Out Bid lose a point. Players who do not go out but do not win the hand, lose three points. The player who wins the hand wins five points.

END OF GAME

The game comes to an end after a certain number of hands. The player with the most points at the end of the last hand wins the game!
