ARE YOU NORMAL

OBJECTIVE OF ARE YOU NORMAL: The objective of Are You Normal is to be the first player to reach the predetermined number of required points.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 2 to 6 Players

MATERIALS: 1 Game Board, 1 Scorepad, 12 Voting Cards, 42 Tokens, 200 Question Cards, and Instructions

TYPE OF GAME: Bluffing Board Game

AUDIENCE: Ages 18 and Up

OVERVIEW OF ARE YOU NORMAL

Throughout the game, players will answer comical questions with honest answers, learning where they fit on the normal scale. One hundred people were polled for each answer to establish what is considered to be normal. Players can bet on answers to ramp up the fun! Where will you land on the scale? Are you normal?

SETUP

To begin setup, all game pieces should be removed from the box. Each player will take seven Yes and No tokens that match the color of the zone they are closest to. They should then each collect one Yes voting card and one No voting card that match the color of their tokens.

The question cards are then shuffled and placed in the center of the playing area, within reach of all players. The players will choose a player to keep up with the score, ensuring that they are one of the more trustworthy players in the group. This player will collect the scorepad and a pencil to keep score throughout the game.

GAMEPLAY

The player who believes that they are the most normal will begin the game. Gameplay will continue clockwise around the group. During their turn, the player will read the top question card aloud to the whole group. The players will then place their voting card face down in front of them, depending on their life experiences.

Now, each player will place one token onto the voting section of every other player, guessing whether each player has or has not completed the action. At the same time, the players have to guess the percentage of people that said yes when they were polled, placing a token in the percentage section. Beginning with the first player, all answers are revealed.

The scorekeeper will then tally the points. The players earn one point for each correct guess, and two for the correct guess of the percentage. Players can score double the points by placing two tokens on the percentage that they believe is correct. Once all of the scores have been written down, the players will collect their tokens. The turn will pass to the next player, in clockwise order.

END OF GAME

The game comes to an end when the players reach the predetermined number of points. The first player to accumulate this number of points, wins the game!
