CATCH OR DON’T CATCH

OBJECTIVE OF CATCH OR DON’T CATCH: Follow the leader’s commands by either catching or not catching the ball when it is thrown at you.

OVERVIEW OF CATCH OR DON’T CATCH

Catch or don’t catch is essentially a simplified version of Simon says.  It is a very easy game that you won’t need much to play. If you are looking for a simple game that will kill some time while you are in the great outdoors, this may be the game for you! 

SETUP

All the players will form a circle around the player chosen to be in the middle. The player in the middle holds the ball.

GAMEPLAY

The player in the middle will throw the ball to another player in the circle and yell out for them to “catch” the ball, or “don’t catch”. The player must follow the command the player in the middle gives, otherwise, they are “out”.

For example, if the leader says “don’t catch”, but you catch the ball, you are out.

With this game, the faster you play, the more fun and more confusing it’ll get!

END OF GAME

The game continues until only the leader and one other player are left playing. The remaining player then becomes the new leader and moves to the middle of the circle for the next game to start!
