OVERVIEW OF FIRST LETTER LAST LETTER

Although young children can theoretically play this game, First Letter, Last Letter is a game that is better suited for older kids and adults, as it can be quite complicated. While this word game may seem simple, it’s much harder to play than it looks. So, brush up on your vocabulary and general knowledge, and get ready to play!
GAMEPLAY OF FIRST LETTER LAST LETTER

All players must sit in a circle, and everyone must decide who will be the first player. This can be determined by a game of rock, paper, scissors. The first player must choose a broad category. With this game, the broader the category, the better.
Some examples of good categories are:
- Animals
- Actors
- Colors
- Food
Once the player has chosen the category, the first player starts the game by naming something in that category. So, if the category is food, the player may say “apple”. This is the first word. Then, the second player continues the game by saying a word in that category that starts with the letter E. So, for example: egg. Then, the next player continues by thinking of a food that starts with the letter G, and so on. Players may not repeat words.
If a player cannot think of a word or repeats a word, they are eliminated.
END OF GAME
When the last word is said and there is only one player remaining at the end wins the game! The winner may choose the next category if the players wish to continue.
