OVERVIEW OF JELLYBEAN JUMBLES

In Jellybean Jumbles, players will act as customers in a grocery store. Using jellybeans, with each one worth an individual cost, the players will attempt to but the correct combination in the “shopping bag”. If they make the most combinations, the players get to keep the jellybeans, which will hype the kids up for sure! With candy involved, who can turn down a fun math game.

SETUP

To setup the game, the owner of the store, or the adult, will write numbers on some of the cupcake liners, creating the shopping bags. Then, the jellybeans are to be separated by color. The owner of the store will then dictate how much each color of jellybean is worth.

The score sheet will then be created with each player’s name at the top of the page. The game is then ready to begin.

GAMEPLAY

During the game, the players will choose a bag to work with. Each player will then collect combinations of jellybeans that tally the total found on the bag. Once they have all created all of the possible combinations that they can, the owner will judge each bag that the “customers” have created.

The total combinations that each player created will be wrote down on the score sheet. The game will continue in this manner until all of the bags have been used. Players may use addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division to create the number found on the bag. The number assigned to each color of jellybean cannot be changed throughout the game.

END OF GAME

The game comes to an end when all of the bags have been solved for. At this point, the players will tally their points, which consist of how many combinations that they have created. The player with the most points, wins the game.
