INTRODUCTION OF ROLL ESTATE
Roll Estate is a roll and write print and play dice game for 1 – 5 players. In this game, players are trying to build up the most valuable score sheet full of properties, business, and stock portfolios. Manage up to three dice rolls for the best outcome, and try to be the first player to own an entire set of properties in order to start a business. At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins.
This game can be purchased and downloaded at PNP Arcade.
MATERIALS & SETUP
In order to play Roll Estate, each player will need their own pencil and score sheet. The game also requires 5 six sided dice.
THE PLAY
There are four possible phases during a player’s turn: roll the dice, buy an asset, open a business, check for endgame.
ROLL THE DICE
The player grabs all five dice and rolls them. They then choose any of the dice that they wish to keep and roll the rest again. If a player wants, they can roll dice that have been previously kept again. A player may only reroll up to three times.
BUY AN ASSET
Now that the player is finished rolling the dice, they may choose an asset from their score sheet to purchase. A player must buy an asset on their turn. Only one asset may be purchased. Each asset type has its own requirements for purchase detailed on the score sheet.
If a player is unable to purchase an asset on their turn, they must lose interest which means they must cross out the remaining available property assets in a row of their choice. That player is no longer able to purchase those. They can go ahead and tally up their score for that row.
OPEN A BUSINESS
When a player is the first to purchase an entire row of properties, they can immediately open a business. This is done by checking off the appropriate business box for that row. Once a specific business has been opened by a player, all other players must cross off that business from their score sheet. They are no longer able to open that particular business. A player is not allowed to own both businesses in the property row.
CHECK FOR ENDGAME
At the end of each turn, players check to see if the endgame has been triggered. The endgame is triggered in one of two ways: a player has three businesses, or a player has no rental properties left available to claim.
When this occurs, play continues so that each player has an equal number of turns. The game then ends and the score is tallied.
SCORING
Players tally up their score on their score sheet. Ties are broken with the following conditions in the order they are given:
Most rental properties
Most mass transit routes
Most valuable stock portfolio
WINNING
The player with the highest score wins.
