OVERVIEW OF THE RETIREMENT ROAST

THE RETIREMENT ROAST SETUP

Before the party begins, let everyone know that there will be a roast at the party. Make sure all the guests are prepared to roast the guest of honor, and above all, ensure the guest of honor is a good sport about it before you host the roast! Done correctly, The Retirement Roast can be a hilarious game that will have everyone rolling around in laughter.

As mentioned, before the game, make sure all guests are prepared with a couple of Retirement Roasts starring the guest of honor.

To start, one guest takes center stage and roasts the retiree. When they’re done, the next guest gets a turn. One by one, each player roasts the retiree. It is important to consider the sense of humor of the retiree. Only be as brutal as the retiree would be comfortable with. Otherwise, you may damper the mood of the party.

To make things fair, allow the retiree to then roast each of their guests at the end of the roast! For an added twist, you can also have the retiree choose the winning roast and deem one party guest the “Best Roaster.”

END OF GAME

Although there is no true winner to this game, the retiree may choose the best roast.
