OVERVIEW OF WORDLE

Wordle is the game to play in 2022. Although it’s been around for a while, it has really taken off since The New York Times took over the game. A simple word game that anyone can play once a day, Wordle is a perfect game to play alone.

SETUP

All you need to set up Wordle is a smartphone or a computer. Then, simply pull up the Wordle website and get started.

GAMEPLAY

The objective of the game is to guess the 5-letter word of the day in 6 tries or fewer. Think of a starter word – it can be any word as long as it is valid. Once you enter that first 5-letter word, the letters will be one of three colors:

Gray – Incorrect letter

Yellow – Correct letter in the incorrect spot

Green – Correct letter in the correct spot

Use these clues to get closer to the word of the day and eventually guess it within 6 tries! Keep in mind that there may be double letters in the word of the day. So, even if you have a green E, you may have another E hidden in the word that you haven’t guessed yet.

You win the game if you guess the word within 6 tries. The Wordle resets daily, and as you play, your stats will be updated on the website. Try to get the best score possible and share the results with your friends!
