OVERVIEW OF SLAMWICH

Slamwich is a face paced, intense collective card game! Anybody in the family can play, but they must have fast hands and a sharp mind. Each player watches for noticeable patterns or cards. If they are the first to properly react, then all the cards in the middle become theirs!

This game has a quick turn around with a lot of lessons to be learned. You must be paying attention at all times, or else you will find yourself empty handed and out of the game.

SETUP

Before beginning the game, have each player look through the deck so they can recognize the differences in the cards. The group will choose who the dealer is. The dealer will deal all the cards equally to each player, leaving extras in the middle. Each player will stack their cards and leave them face down in front of them!

GAMEPLAY

The player to the left of the dealer goes first. Moving around the group clockwise, each player will flip the top card from their deck and leave it face up in the middle of the group. Players then slap the middle of the pile when they see one of three things!

When a player sees a Double Decker, two of the same cards on top of each other, they should slap the pile. Likewise, when a player sees a Slamwich, two of the same cards separated by one different card, they should slap the pile! If a player is the first one to slap the pile, then they earn all the cards in the stack.

If a Thief card is thrown down, the player must slap the pile and say “Stop Thief!”. The first player to complete both actions gets to take the pile. If the player slaps, but forgets to yell, the player that yells gets the pile.

When a pile has been earned, the player adds those cards, face down to the bottom of their stack. A new round begins. Whoever wins the pile begins the next round.

House Rules

 Playing Muncher Cards

When a Muncher Card is played, the player becomes the Muncher. The player to the left of the Muncher must attempt to stop them from stealing all the cards. This player will throw down as many cards as the Muncher Card is numbered for. If the player plays a Double Decker, Slamwich, or a Thief card, then the Muncher may be stopped. Munchers may still slap the deck!

Slip Slaps

If a player makes a mistake and slaps the deck when there is no reason to, they have made a slip slap. They then take their top card and place it face up in the middle pile, losing one of their own cards as punishment.

END OF GAME

When a player no longer has any cards in their hand, they are out of the game. The game ends when there is only one player left. The first player to collect all the cards, and be the last player standing, is the winner!
