TYPE OF GAME: Graduation Party Games

AUDIENCE: Ages 12 and Up

OVERVIEW OF A PIECE OF ADVICE

A Piece of Advice is a fun game where players will attempt to pop all of their balloons, each containing a letter to the word “ADVICE”. This game requires good spelling and strong hands. In order to pop the balloons, the players are only allowed to use their hands.

SETUP

To setup for the game, print out the word advice. Cut it into pieces, with each piece consisting of a letter. Each team will have balloons of different colors, and one letter of the word will be placed in each balloon.

Once all of the balloons have been inflated, the game is ready to begin! All of the balloons are mixed up so that it makes it harder to catch them.

GAMEPLAY

In order to play the game, the players are only allowed to pop their teams’ balloons. The players are only allowed to use their hands when popping the balloons. As one player pops the balloons, the other player will gather the letters of the word to spell it out.

The game continues in this way until one team spells out the word. This team is then able to give a piece of advice to the player who graduated if they choose to.

END OF GAME

The game comes to an end when a team spells out the entire word “ADVICE”. The first team to do this are the winners.
