CELEBRITY

OBJECTIVE OF CELEBRITY: Guess more celebrities during the 3 rounds than the other team.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 4+ players

MATERIALS: 1 pen per player, 5 slips of paper per player, 1 hat or bowl, 1 timer

TYPE OF GAME: Camping game

AUDIENCE: 7+

OVERVIEW OF CELEBRITY

Celebrity is a fun variation of charades. Instead of guessing the name of anything, you only are guessing the names of famous celebrities.

SETUP

Divide all of the players into two teams and give each player 5 slips of paper to write celebrity names on. The players should then fold up the slips of paper and put them into the bowl or hat. Have a one-minute timer ready to start when a player draws a slip of paper.

GAMEPLAY

Each player will stand up and take one slip of paper. The goal of the game is to get your teammates to guess as many celebrities as possible during the one-minute timer. Each time the team guesses correctly, the team gets one point and the player draws a new slip from the bowl or hat. If the team is unable to guess, the player can put that slip to the side and pick up another name.

After the one minute is up, the clue-giver from the second team gets to do the same. The round ends when there are no more names in the hat or bowl.

This game is separated into 3 different rounds. Each round has different requirements for what kind of clues they can give their team.

ROUND ONE

For the first round, the clue-giver is allowed to say as many words as they want for each celebrity. The only rule is they cannot mention any part of the celebrity’s name or give direct clues to any letters in their name.

ROUND TWO

In round two, the clue-giver is only allowed to use one word to describe each celebrity, so choose wisely!

ROUND THREE

In round three, the clue-giver cannot use any words or noises to describe the celebrity and must instead use hand gestures or actions to get their team to guess the celebrity.

The teams get one point per celebrity they guess right, so one player on each team should keep track of the score.

END OF GAME

The game ends after the third round is finished. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!
