OBJECTIVE OF GOTHER THAN THOU: The objective of Gother Than Thou is to be the first player to have twenty points at the end of your turn.

OVERVIEW OF GOTHER THAN THOU

Gother Than Thou is a game of betrayal and fame. Players attempt to win twenty goth points, which will win them the game and the fame that they desire. If they go into debt, contract infections, or make classic mistakes, all may be lost!

SETUP

A player will be assigned the roll of the dealer. The dealer will then shuffle the cards and deal five cards to each player. The rest of the deck is placed in the middle of the playing area face down. The game is then ready to begin!

Scoring

Goth Points: The first player to acquire twenty or more goth points wins the game.

Sickness: A player’s hand size decreased with every point of Sickness that they have. Players cannot have negative Sickness. If a player has five or more Sickness, then they must discard all cards in their Fate pile.

Money: If a player is in debt, then they do not draw from the discard pile.

GAMEPLAY

Duirng their turn, players must complete a number of steps. First, players must discard one card from their Fate pile. They must then place a card from your hand into the Fate pile of every player, including their own. They must play to every player, unless they do not have enough cards. In this case, they will play all of their cards to the players of their choosing.

They will then draw cards to replenish their hand. If they are in debt, they are not allowed to draw from the discard pile. If they are not in debt, they may draw from either pile. The player to the left will then complete their turn.

Gameplay continues in this manner until a player collects twenty or more goth points. The player is then declared the winner. A new game may immediately begin!

END OF GAME

The game comes to an end when a player has scores twenty or more points at the end of their turn. This player is declared the winner!
