TYPE OF GAME: Pool Party Game

AUDIENCE: Ages 8 and Up

OVERVIEW OF H-O-R-S-E

Horse is a fun, action packed basketball game that takes place in the pool! Even the best basketball players will find this game slightly more challenging, as they are shooting at a goal in very unusual circumstances. When a player misses a shot, they earn a letter in the word horse. After five misses, you are out of the game!

SETUP

To setup the game, place the pool basketball goal on one side of the pool. The first player is then chosen. The game is ready to begin once the order of players has been determined.

GAMEPLAY

To begin the game, the first player will choose a place to make a shot from. If they make it, then all of the other players must then take a shot from that same place. If they make it, they are safe, but if they miss, then they get an “H”.

The next player will then choose to take a shot. The same thing will happen again, and if any of the players miss, then they will earn a letter, spelling the word Horse. Once they have spelled out the entire word, then they are out of the game. The game continues in this manner until there is only one player remaining.

END OF GAME

The game comes to an end when there is only one player remaining in the game. This player is declared the winner!
