THE ROAD TRIP GROCERY STORE GAME

OBJECTIVE OF THE GROCERY STORE GAME: The objective of The Grocery Store Game is to guess what grocery store item a player is thinking of.  

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 3 or More Players 

MATERIALS: No Materials are Needed 

TYPE OF GAME: Road Trip Guessing Game 

AUDIENCE: Ages 5 and Up 

OVERVIEW OF THE GROCERY STORE GAME 

The Grocery Store Game is a game that is perfect for players of any age! All it takes is a little imagination, and boom, you are playing the game! This game is a version of I Spy minus the spying. Rather than looking for items in front of you, players will choose an item from the grocery store that they remember, and with the use of some hints, the other players will take up to three guesses to guess it!  

SETUP 

There is no setup required for the game. For a refresher, the players may want to review and discuss the rules. Then, the game can begin!  

GAMEPLAY 

To begin the game, the first player is randomly chosen. This player will then think of an item that they have seen in a grocery store. Remember, grocery stores have a lot of items that are not food items. The player will then give the group a hint about the item.  

The other players will then take some time to think of questions. The questions cannot be open ended, and they must be able to be answered with a yes or a no. Each player will only have one guess at the item, but they have unlimited questions. If all of the players guess incorrectly, then the player who thought of the item gets a point. If a player guesses correctly, then they get a point.  

END OF GAME 

The game comes to an end when the road trip ends. The players will take time to add up their accumulated points. The player with the most points, wins the game!
