OVERVIEW OF WHEELBARROW RACE
If you want to get all players laughing as they race to the finish line, organize a wheelbarrow race! This game is sure to get all hearts racing and pumping with excitement. This race is not only fun for the participants, but it is equally fun and hilarious for viewers to watch unfold.
SETUP
Designate a start line and a finish line, and mark the lines with an object or a string so that all participants are aware of where the race starts and ends. Then, divide the group into pairs and have everyone stand behind the start line with their partners.
Each partner must decide who will be the wheelbarrow and who will be the driver. The wheelbarrow must put two hands on the floor, and the driver must grab the wheelbarrow’s legs so that the wheelbarrow is only walking on two hands. The driver uses the wheelbarrow’s legs to “drive” the team.
GAMEPLAY
At the signal, each pair must coordinate with their partner to get to the finish line faster than the other teams. The wheelbarrow and driver must coordinate and communicate to move as quickly as possible to the finish line without tripping. To move, the wheelbarrow uses their hands as feet, and the driver uses the arms to support the wheelbarrow’s legs.
END OF GAME
The pair that passes the finish line first wins the wheelbarrow race!
