INTRODUCTION OF FLOWER GARDEN

Flower Garden is a foundation building solitaire game that begins with the entire deck being dealt out.  Foundations begin with the Ace and must be uncovered from the garden (tableau) or bouquet (reserve).  Players have a 50% chance of winning this game.

THE CARDS & THE LAYOUT

Flower Garden uses a standard 52 card French deck. Begin by dealing out the garden which is made of six columns with six cards each.  The cards are overlapping in the columns.  The remaining sixteen cards are spread out in a row to form the bouquet.  All cards are dealt face up.

THE PLAY

Foundations begin with the Aces, and must be uncovered from the layout.  Place foundation cards in a row or column along the outside edge of the layout.  Each foundation is built up in ascending order according to suit from Ace to King.

Garden columns are built in descending order and suit does not matter.  A 6 of hearts may be played on a 7 of spades for example.  Top cards from all piles are available for movement, and one card may be moved at a time.  Spaces in the tableau may be filled with any available top card.

Cards in the bouquet are available at all times regardless of their location in the bouquet.  They may be played on the garden or the foundations.

WINNING

Successfully move all cards to their appropriate foundation piles to win the game.
