OVERVIEW OF LEGO FRACTION MATH GAME

The Lego Fraction Game is a perfect way to introduce the idea of fractions to your child. This game allows them to use their Lego blocks to create and visualize fractions as they work through more complex ones. You will create the fractions, and they will build them with your support along the way. Those pesky toys are useful for something after all!

SETUP

To setup for this game, first place the baseplate on a level surface. This is where the fractions will be created. Then, on the index cards, write a variety of fractions, depending on the player’s ability level. Some players may want more complex problems, and others may want introductory problems.

Place these index cards spread about the baseplate, ensuring that there is enough room left for the fractions to actually be built. The game is then ready to begin.

GAMEPLAY

During the game, the player will take their time building the fractions that they have been presented with. The player may use a variety of colors. They may also build the fractions horizontally or vertically, depending on their own preference.

The player will have their fractions checked before moving on during the first game. After that, they may only have to ask questions. This is just to ensure that they are understanding the concept of the game initially. The game will continue in this manner, with the player building the fractions, until all of them have been correctly completed.

END OF GAME

The game comes to an end when all of the fractions have been correctly answered. The player answering the questions is the winner!
