INTRODUCTION OF MACAU DICE
Macau is a dice game that plays very similarly to Fifteen and Over 12 is Dead. Players take turns rolling the die and pushing their luck to get as close to 9 points as possible. The use of one die and the allowance for as many players that want to play makes this an excellent pub game.
To determine who goes first, each player should roll the die. The player with the lowest roll must go first. In the event of a tie, roll again to break the tie with the lowest roll going first.
On each player’s turn, roll the dice as many times as you wish. Add the result of each roll. Your goal is to get as close to 9 as possible without going over. If you go over, you are out of the round.
Once each player has taken their turn, the player who either rolled exactly 9 or closest to it wins the round. In the event of a tie, the players involved in the tie take another turn. The player with the roll closest to 9 wins.
Play one round for each player at the table.
The player that wins the round earns 1 point.
After the final round, the player with the highest score wins. Break a tie with another round that only includes the players who are tied.
