OVERVIEW OF STRAIGHT FACE

STRAIGHT FACE OVERVIEW

If you’re ready for some laughs, Straight Face is a hilarious drinking game to play when you’re out of ideas but want something simple to play with your friends. It’s best played alongside people that have a similar sense of humor. But honestly, as long as you are all drunk, everything will probably already be funny anyway!

GAMEPLAY

STRAIGHT FACE GAMEPLAY

To start, each player must write something funny on a piece of paper. The goal is to write something so funny that the other players would laugh or smile while reading it out loud. The players must then fold their slips of paper and toss them into a bowl or hat. If you don’t have anything to put the slips of paper in, you can simply put them on the table.

If you’re not sure what would be funny to write, you can also go a different direction, such as writing something entirely inappropriate or something people may refuse to read out loud – they may elicit a similar response from the readers.

Then, the first player must take a random slip from the middle pile or bowl and read it out loud. If they laugh or even crack a tiny smile, that player must take a drink. However, if that player manages to keep a straight face while reading the entire sentence, the person that wrote the sentence must fess up and take a drink. But if you want to up the stakes a bit, make the writer take a whole shot instead!

Hot tip: Who knows? With the help of a drink, they might be able to write something even funnier next round.

END OF GAME

The game ends when all of the slips of paper have been read out loud. If you want to play another round, play again!
