OVERVIEW OF WHO AM I: DRINKING EDITION

Who Am I is a great drinking game to play to start the night. It can be difficult to play if you’re already a bit buzzed as it does require some thinking, but it’s a great addition to any game night if you’re looking for a slightly more challenging drinking game.

SETUP

Players must sit in a circle.

Have every player write a famous person or character on a post-it note. If you don’t have any post-it notes on hand, you can also use slips of paper and tape. Then each player must stick this post-it note onto the forehead of the person on their left. Make sure the other person does not see what is on the post-it note on their forehead.

GAMEPLAY

Choose a player to go first. The first player must ask a yes-or-no question to the group that will help them guess who is on their forehead. Examples of questions include:

  • Am I a woman?
  • Am I on TV?
  • Am I a fictional character?
  • Am I alive?

The rest of the group answers yes or no, according to the question. If the answer is yes, the first player can ask another question until the group answers no to a particular question. If the answer is no, the first player must take a sip from their drink. Then the turn passes onto the person on their left, who can then ask the group a yes-or-no question as well.

END OF GAME

Keep going around the circle, with play moving on to the next player every time a “no” is said. As the game continues, each player will get closer to guessing who is on their forehead. Each person that manages to guess their person or character can give out a shot to someone to group. Continue playing until all players have guessed who the famous person or character is on their forehead.
