This or That is a similar game to the popular icebreaker drinking game, Would You Rather. However, this game is even simpler than Would You Rather, if that’s even possible! If you’re on FaceTime and you’re slowly running out of things to say, This or That can be a fun game to play to spark some conversations. Plus, this game is also a great hit for children having a FaceTime playdate or adults on a first date!

THIS OR THAT gameplay

This or That is as simple and easy as it looks. Simply ask a question asking another player to choose between two options. Not sure what types of questions to ask? No worries! Here’s a list to get you started:

  • Coke or sprite?
  • Tree or flower?
  • Real grass or artificial grass?
  • Hotel or Airbnb?
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil?
  • Cooking or eating out?

You can ask anything you want! To play This or That, just take turns asking each other these types of questions. To turn this game into a conversation, make a rule that once you pick something, you need to explain why you picked one option instead of the other. This could lead to some pretty interesting and provocative conversations!

END OF GAME

There’s really no end to this game, and you can stop playing whenever you want. Simply stop playing when you are ready to move on to another game or want to expand on a discussion about why one option is better than the other.
