Let’s start off strong with Joking Hazard. In this funny card game, players complete comic strips. Players take turns acting as the judge who flips over a card from the middle. Every other player must pick a black card from their hand that best completes the comic strip. The judge then picks their favorite black card, with the player who played that card winning the point from that round. The first player to win three points wins!

2. CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY

Cards Against Humanity is probably the first card game you think of when figuring out what adult card games to play. And this nasty card game is a classic for a reason—many other adult card games model themselves after this game and the kid-safe version of Apples to Apples.
Just like in Joking Hazard, players take turns acting as the judge, or in this case, the Card Czar. The Card Czar flips over a black card and reads it out loud. All other players must choose a white card from their hand on the table. The Card Czar must then pick their favorite card. And the player who played this card wins the black card and one Awesome Point. The player with the most Awesome Points wins the game.

In this hilarious and dirty card game, there are red flag cards and white perk cards. Each player must hold 3 red cards and 4 white cards. Players take turns acting as the judge. Every other player must pick 2 white cards from their hand, but the person on their left must give them a red card that will ruin their “perfect” date. The player who manages to make the best date for the judge despite the red flag card wins a point. The first player to win 7 cards wins the game!

As you might be able to guess from the name of the game, F***. The Game is a fun, crass game that will have adults laughing out loud. To play, distribute all the cards. Then, players must flip over one of their cards, one by one. Once they flip over their cards, however, they must either shout the color of the card itself or the word written on the card, depending on the color of the test, the color of the card, or the word written on the card.
As you can see, rules can be pretty confusing! If any player messes up, everyone must slap their hands onto the discard pile. This player can give 2 cards to any 2 players, and the player who messed up must pick up the rest of the deck. The first player to run out of cards wins the game!

Drunk Stoned or Stupid is a great adult party game that you should bring along to any house gatherings. In this adult card game, players take turns acting as the judge. This judge must draw a card and read it out loud. The rest of the players must then try to pick one player in the circle that the card best applies to. Feel free to argue and debate in front of the judge, but the judge is the one who makes the final decision based on these arguments. The player who gets this card is the loser for the round, and the first player to accumulate 7 of these cards is the loser of the game!
6. KING’S CUP
What better card game to play amongst a group of adults than a drinking card game like the classic King’s Cup? To play this game, you’ll need one plastic cup and a deck of cards. Fan the deck of cards around the plastic cup face-down. Once that’s set up, it’s time to play the drinking game!
Players take turns removing one card from the circle, being careful not to “break” the circle. Each card has a rule associated with it that the players must follow, such as taking a drink, giving a drink to another player, playing Never Have I Ever, or playing Categories.

7. HORSERACE
Just like King’s Cup, you’ll need a standard deck of cards to play Horserace. Pick the four aces out of the deck; these four aces are the “horses” of the game. Place them on one end of the table. Before the race begins, players bet on the “horse” they believe will win by betting the number of drinks to give out. If they lose, they must drink half of what they bet! At each reveal of a card, the suit of the card revealed allows the ace of that suit to move one step forward. The first horse to reach the length of 8 cards wins!

Start That’s What She Said by selecting a judge for the round, just like many of the other adult card games on this list. This judge picks a red card and reads the scenario out loud. Then, other players must choose from their hand of white cards to best match the red card. Try to think of the funniest combination to make the judge pick your card over all the others! The judge picks their favorite card, and the player who played that card wins a point for that round. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

Are you a big fan of memes and want to make your own? You’ve got to play What Do You Meme? with your friends. As usual, players take turns acting as the judge. The judge of each round picks a photo card from the deck. Then, every other player must pick a caption card from their hand. The judge picks their favorite caption card that best matches the photo card for the perfect meme! The player with the most cards (therefore, points) at the end of the game wins!

Now, for something a little different. Secret Hitler is a really funny game that requires a bit of strategy and thinking. In this game, you play as a liberal or fascist, but if you are a fascist, you must lie to get your fascist policies passed or elect Hitler before the end of the game. And, of course, if you’re a liberal, you’ve got to try your best to pass liberal policies. But who can you trust? You never know who is actually a liberal and who is posing as one.

Why not play a bit of poker to spice up the night? Whether you play Texas Hold’em or Five Card Draw, there’s something about sizing up your friends to try to figure out everyone’s tells. Who knew judging others could be so fun? Bad People is one of our favorite party games. In this card game, players take turns acting as the Dictator, who draws a card from the deck and reads it out loud. Then, the Dictator must secretly vote on who that card best refers to. Everyone else must then try their best to match the Dictator’s vote. If they are correct, they get a point! The first player to get to seven points wins the game.
15. SHITHEAD
What about some classic card games to play with your friends? Shithead is one of those card games that you can play with as few as two players but as many as five. In this unpredictable card game that requires a mixture of strategy and luck, players play against each other to get rid of all of their cards. But the twist is that some of these cards are hidden until the very end, so you never know if your last three cards will screw you over, making you pick up the entire deck even though you are close to winning!
16. BULLSHIT
Bullshit is a classic card game adults love to play. This is another fun card shedding game best played with 3 to 6 players. In this game, distribute all the cards amongst the players. Then, one player starts the game by getting rid of one or more aces. The next player must get rid of one or more 2s. Then, 3s, and so on.
However, at any point, someone can lie about what they are getting rid of. And on the flip side, you can call bullshit at anybody’s cards if you think they are lying. When this happens, that player must reveal their cards. If they were not lying, you must pick up the pile of cards. If they were lying, they must pick up the pile of cards. Continue playing until someone wins the game!
